How to choose a good transformer
A transformer is an electrical device used to change the magnitude of voltage. It consists of two or more coils, usually wrapped in an iron core. One of the coils is called the primary coil and the other coil is called the secondary coil.
When an alternating current is passed through the primary side coil, the core of the transformer generates a magnetic induction intensity in the presence of a magnetic field. The secondary coil produces voltage through the magnetic induction intensity. Depending on the ratio of turns in the primary and secondary coils, a transformer can raise or lower the voltage.
Transformers are widely used in power systems, mainly for transmission and distribution. During transmission, high voltage current is converted to low voltage current through a transformer to minimize energy loss. In power distribution, transformers convert high voltage currents into low voltage currents suitable for domestic and industrial use.
Transformers also have the function of isolating circuits, which can effectively prevent current leakage and electric shock accidents. In addition, the transformer can also achieve voltage stabilization and regulation, to ensure the normal operation of the power system.
In conclusion, transformer is an important electrical device that provides important support for power transmission and use by changing the voltage magnitude and providing current stability.
